# 12 Years a Slave

> L'enjeu principal de ce film est l'enlèvement et la vente comme esclave de Solomon Northup, un homme libre afro-américain. En 1841, Solomon Northup, un musicien et charpentier, est kidnappé à Washington D.C. par deux hommes qui le droguent et le vendent comme esclave. Il est ensuite transporté en Louisiane, où il est forcé de travailler dans des plantations. Malgré les années de souffrance et d'exploitation, Northup ne perd jamais espoir de retrouver sa liberté.
