Baxter a un ultimatum. L'amitié en pleine expansion entre Tom et Sarah Bunting cause des soucis à Robert. Mary se sent prête à essayer et à trouver l'amour de nouveau. L'arrangement spécial d'Édith et de Drewe commence à s'émietter car c'est de plus en plus dur pour elle de contrôler ses émotions, ayant pour résultat quelques conséquences désastreuses pour chacun.
