Hugh demande à Demelza de lui donner un dernier espoir, mais elle est dans l’incapacité d’assouvir ce souhait. Le jeune poète meurt. Morwenna revoit Drake sur la plage. Rowella croise Osborne Whitworth au village et lui apprend qu’elle n’a finalement jamais été enceinte. Ross remporte les élections en battant sur le fil George. Poldark doit maintenant rejoindre Londres pour occuper ses fonctions.
